He died on December 12, 1850, in Greene, Ohio, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried there.

    Timothy Higgins Sr (1768–1850) is a figure rooted in the post-Revolutionary expansion of New England families into upstate New York. While not a Revolutionary War veteran himself—he was only seven when the war began—his life reflects the generational shift from colonial hardship to frontier settlement.

    Timothy is a key figure in connecting the Higgins and Keen families. His daughter Chloe’s marriage to Sprague Keen ties him to a lineage that includes Zebulon Keen (b. 1811), who later migrated to Indiana.
