When Anna Warren was born in 1612 in England, her father, Richard, was 34, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 29. She married Thomas Little on April 19, 1633. They had nine children in 23 years. She died in 1676 in Marshfield, Massachusetts, at the age of 64, and was buried there.
Her story
Anna Warren was the daughter of Richard Warren, a Mayflower passenger, and his wife Elizabeth Walker. Anna was born circa 1612, likely in Hertfordshire, England. Her father, Richard Warren, came on the Mayflower in 1620, but his wife Elizabeth Walker and their five daughters—including Anna—remained in England until conditions in the colony stabilized. In 1623, Elizabeth and the children sailed on the Anne, which brought many of the remaining family members of Mayflower passengers to Plymouth.
Anna Warren is notable not only for her own life in the colony but also for her Mayflower lineage. Her father, Richard Warren, signed the Mayflower Compact and was one of the original settlers of Plymouth. Through Anna, many descendants trace their ancestry to the Mayflower, including members of the Keen, Little, and West families.
