This website is maintained by Steven Barry Staggs (1950- ). Steven was inspired to create this website from the genealogy research done by his father, Harold Wareham Staggs (1915-2009). Harold, with the help of his daughter Barbara, researched the Staggs family and self-published books on the Staggs ancestry for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Steven has expanded the ancestry documentation (and in a few places made corrections) and wanted to make the story of the Staggs family easily accessible for his children, grandchildren and future generations

Let the journey begin

The Staggs family ancestral line includes eight Mayflower passengers and at least five veterans of the American Revolution. But this story begins with Steven’s 4th great-grandfather, Joseph Stagg (1750-1816), the first of the Staggs family in America.
